Hybrid

Calming
Energizing

Lemon Cherry Gelato, sometimes known simply as LCG, is an Indica-leaning hybrid that’s a cross between Sunset SherbetGirl Scout Cookies (GSC), and a mystery third strain parent. LCG tastes just as you might expect – its sour, citrusy flavor blends with notes of cherries, berries, and notes of earthy pine. While its aroma and  taste might have a real zing, Lemon Cherry Gelato’s effects strike a nice balance between uplifting and mellowing. Reach for Lemon Cherry Gelato anytime you want to enjoy a relaxed evening, hang out with friends, or get in the zone for a day of chores. You’ll blast off to space within the first 15-20 minutes of your high before slowly returning back to Earth to experience tingly, full-body relaxation. This potent strain has a high THC content, making it ideal for experienced users or those trying to treat symptoms like chronic pain or depression.

I have lots of anxiety and deal with depression, and smoking this strain helped me to relax, feel a bit euphoric, and I slept amazingly! If you're thinking about trying this strain, just do it!

I don't see Lemon Cherry Gelato around as often as some other strains, but I always grab it when I see it! I've tried it in both buds and vape forms and it has never disappointed. Great relaxing strain and keeps me buzzing for hours!

Grow Info

Lemon Cherry Gelato is a fairly easy choice for growers thanks to its minimal de-leafing needs, average growth period, and standard yields. This strain loves a warm and humid environment to grow in, which can be achieved indoors and outdoors.

However, growing LCG from seeds can prove to be a little trickier. Auto-flowering seeds are best for beginners, as they’ll flower regardless of the light cycle you use. Standard or feminized seeds typically need to follow an 18/6 light schedule during their vegetative stage. They should continue receiving at least 12 hours of light each day once they begin flowering.

FAQs

Is LCG an indica or sativa?

Lemon Cherry Gelato (LCG) is a hybrid strain that has a slight indica lean, meaning it’s about 55-60% indica and 40-45% sativa. Its blend of uplifting and relaxing effects makes it a true hybrid in our eyes, though how you experience this strain may differ from how others do.

What is the Lemon Cherry Gelato strain good for?

Lemon Cherry Gelato is beloved for its relaxing and mood-boosting effects, which make it ideal for chronic pain, stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s also a great strain for socializing since it tends to make its users feel giggly and talkative.

How does Lemon Cherry Gelato make you feel?

The first few minutes of a Lemon Cherry Gelato high are usually dominated by a euphoric, energizing burst that instantly melts away bad vibes. From there, the high mellows out into something more relaxing, leaving you feeling ready to take on whatever the day throws your way.

Since this strain usually has high THC levels, it can create some pretty intense experiences and might not be the best choice for beginners.
