Looking for a sweet treat and a relaxing night — all in one bite? This recipe for CBD chocolate chip cookies has got you covered. By making these CBD cookies at home, anyone can have the freedom to use whatever CBD oil that they like best AND control the desired dosage. Most of the ingredients needed for these sweet treats are staple items in the cupboard … and, of course, the desired CBD oil!
Having the flexibility to use any CBD oil can help tailor a custom experience to every bite. Certain brands and products of CBD oils and tinctures will have different flavors and focuses. Before preheating the oven and pouring yourself a glass of milk, let’s talk about things to consider in a CBD oil/tincture for the perfect recipe every time: Isolate, Broad-Spectrum, Full-Spectrum, Flavor, and Strength.
Desired CBD OIL: Isolate, Broad, or Full-Spectrum?
CBD oils and tinctures can come in a pure CBD isolate form, broad or full spectrum. The difference in this will dictate the experience that a consumer will have. In every cannabis plant, there are over 100 different cannabinoids and many terpenes and flavonoids. An isolate CBD tincture will not include any other extracts from the plants including terpenes, flavonoids, and other cannabinoids. On the other hand, broad-spectrum is a popular choice and only has a specific selection of CBD, other cannabinoids, and terpenes. Broad-spectrum CBD products often have 0.0% Delta-9 THC. Finally, a full-spectrum tincture will contain all chemical compounds of the cannabis plant and may include 0.3% or less of Delta-9 THC. With a full-spectrum CBD oil, a user often will experience the “entourage effect.”
Once you’ve decided on a preferred type of CBD oil or tincture, it’s time to talk flavor! These oils come in a variety of flavors to accommodate any user’s preference. Interested in a fruity flavor? May make the chocolate chip cookies interesting, but go for it? How about chocolate or vanilla flavor to enhance the sweetness of the cookies? Or, are you looking for NO flavor so that the taste of the cookies can shine? All of these are options that we have available to select when browsing our selection of oils and tinctures.
Rather than a pre-packaged edible, baking your cookies will allow for complete preference in the user’s desired dosage. If you’re new to CBD, it may be better to start with a lower amount of milligrams and increase in the future. Unsure of where to start? Refer to our trusty dosage guide to learn more about what may be the best fit as a starting point in milligrams.
