Savage Essentials Tinctures by Savage CBD – Product Review

Savage Essentials – Product Overview

Savage CBD produces the Essentials product line of full-spectrum CBD Oil.  In a crowded marketplace, Savage has managed to produce a somewhat unique product through unusual flavor combinations, great packaging and a simple selection of strengths.  Available in 1000mg, 1500mg and 2000mg strengths, the 30ml versions come priced a bit below some of its closest competitors, yet maintain top-quality, lab-tested ingredients.

Packaging and Labeling

The product packaging is standard with a rectangular box containing a 30ml bottle wrapped in tamper-proof plastic covering.  The dropper itself is also standard, although prone to some of the struggles with all droppers in sometimes being hard to fill completely.

Two sides of the box are covered in text describing some of the philosophies and marketing of the company, written in varying sized text.  It is meant to market the natural hemp source and pure ingredients.  The back of the box has the detailed list of ingredients, the standard FDA warning and importantly – the QR scan code for the lab results.

Savage CBD Essentials
Savage CBD Essentials Tinctures come in four flavors and three strengths.

The ingredients are clearly listed, although not to specifics in terms of quantities.  MCT Coconut Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Full Spectrum CBD, Terpenes (which is somewhat redundant to “full-spectrum”) and Essential Oils.

The four different flavors come in 4 different-colored boxes entirely, which makes it easy to differentiate.  The front of the box has a depiction of the flavor combination, the strength, size of bottle, the brand logo of course and a title “full spectrum CBD Tincture”.  Tincture is a term that is somewhat confusing versus CBD Oil.

Is it a CBD “Tincture” or a CBD Oil?

The Savage Essentials are clearly labeled as tinctures.  A tincture is produced by steeping cannabis flowers or isolates in a high-proof grain alcohol, then applying low heat for a significant span of time. The “full-spectrum” of compounds, meaning CBD, terpenes and the other cannabinoids, infuse into the alcohol which is then largely boiled off.  Like many firms, they take this liquid and combine it with base oils and flavoring to create the resulting product.

How to Use the Savage Tinctures

The tinctures can be taken sublingually or added to food.  They are specifically designed not to be vaped.  Sublingual CBD is extremely effective to maintain maximum potency and effectiveness.  Simply place the liquid in your mouth, swish it around a bit and let it rest under your tongue.  The capillaries and tissue under the tongue and in the cheeks rapidly absorb the liquid.  Taking CBD sublingually helps it to avoid degradation from the gastro-intestinal tract and first-pass digestion in the liver.

What’s the Right Dosage?

That depends on your bodyweight, how your body chemistry reacts to CBD (and/or the full spectrum product) and the desired effect you are taking it for.  We have found that the span of strengths of 1000mg, 1500mg and 2000mg is right in the sweet spot for 80%+ of sales.  One dropper of each (1ml) equates to 33mg, 50mg, or 66mg respectively.  Taking one or two droppers a day at this strength seems to be a good place to start for most people.  Adjustments can then be made based on individual results.

The 4 Different Flavors

The combinations that have been created are quite unique and not specific to the terpenes in the product but have been added to the tincture.  Lemon Lime is found somewhat commonly in other brands, but Cucumber Mint, Peach Pear, and Pink Grapefruit are more unique.  It really is just a matter of personal preference.

Common Health Uses

Like most CBD Oils and Tinctures, the Savage essentials can be used for a wide variety of health needs.  Most commonly of course, is to take it daily for overall health and wellness.  Specific health needs include anxiety, joint pain, inflammation, sleep challenges, neuropathy, sciatica and depression.

Customer Feedback

It’s always important to hear from independent people who have tried the products and understand how it has helped then.

  • Review 1 – I’ve tried several different companies, and Savage CBD surpasses them all when it comes to taste. Mild and sweet, not overpowering. I’m definitely a repeat customer.
  • Review 2 – We have tried other brands of CBD oil and none compare to Savage CBD Oil! This is the most effective for my fibromyalgia pain and my husband’s neuropathy. My only regret is wasting time and money trying other brands. Thank you for such an amazing product!
  • Review 3 – This CBD is cheap! And not in the bad way. I can tell that they use good CBD and ingredients. I am not disappointed with my purchase, and the flavor is all natural which is even better. This CBD really helps me sleep at night.

Pricing

The last review correctly points out that the Savage Essentials price point is typically 5-10% lower than comparable strength products from other brands.  This isn’t a quality measure but more a decision on how they decided to price now.  Savage CBD has many other product lines including a significant vaping presence.

Savage Essentials – Summary

The Savage Essentials tincture line is very popular for good reason.  It is slightly less expensive than some of its competitors, it comes in 4 interesting flavors and is available in the 3 most common strengths.  The packaging looks great and has most of the information you would want, including the all-important QR Scan for lab results.  Some of the drawbacks include the limited flavors, the lack of a lower 500mg strength that some people desire, and incomplete quantitative information of ingredients.

Overall, Savage CBD has passed the test of our business to carry only the top, trusted brands.  If you’re looking for some fun flavors in a high quality full-spectrum product, Savage Essentials are definitely worth a try.
